The kick-off meeting of the 'Fostering Learners' AI Readiness (FLAIR)' project, an Erasmus+ KA-220 initiative, was held on November 13-14, 2024, at Yeditepe University's Learning and Teaching Implementation and Research Centre.
The project, coordinated by the Vienna University of Economics and Business, brings together Tilburg University, the University of Tartu, University College Cork, La Salle-Ramon Llull University, and Yeditepe University. The international team, consisting of Oliver Vettori, Johanna Warm, Hedda Guggenberger, Nikos Basbas, Matthijs van Gils, Helen Hint, Djuddah Leijen, Loretta Goff, Sarah Thelen, Xavier Vilasis, Mehmet Korman, İpek Baz, Ege Simge Demirel, and Berrin Yanıkkaya, engaged in discussions focusing on artificial intelligence literacy, education-AI integration, and ethical considerations in higher education.
During the two-day gathering, the team reviewed workflows and coordination protocols for various work packages, establishing a roadmap for the project's 26-month duration, including online and face-to-face meetings.
Yeditepe University's Provost Prof. Ahmet Aydın and Rector Prof. Mehmet Durman joined the team during lunch breaks, supporting this international collaboration.
The consortium looks forward to upcoming events and anticipates that the project's outcomes will benefit participating institutions and the broader academic community.
